As to be expected I was doing fairly well on the whole ‘not acquiring a ton of books’ front up until YALC at the end of the month. To give myself some credit though I could have come away with a whole lot more than I did. Advertisements
I hit a bit of a mental brick wall and so haven’t updated this for a little while. My apologies. With YALC fast approaching (just a couple of days left to go!) I thought I better catch you up on what I’ve been reading and buying recently.
I thought I was doing reasonably well with only buying four books this month, but then I had a bit of an end of the month splurge. It was for a good reason though so I guess it’s not too naughty of me.
I didn’t get much in the way of physical books this month, but somehow wound up with a handful of e-arcs. It doesn’t exactly help with reducing my TBR pile but they sounded too good to pass up.
I have to say given that it was my birthday in March I did fairly well and only acquired four books, meaning my goal to read more than what I accumulate each month is back in action.
Self-control is seemingly a foreign concept to me. “No more books,” she said. “Get through your TBR pile first,” she said. And yet somehow I gained 4 paperbacks, 4 e-books and 1 e-galley this month. I’m useless.
In continuation with the theme of not sticking to the goals I set for myself this year, I was a bit naughty and acquired four books in January. To be fair though two of them were ARCs so at least I didn’t go completely rogue.
