I thought I was doing reasonably well with only buying four books this month, but then I had a bit of an end of the month splurge. It was for a good reason though so I guess it’s not too naughty of me.
I had two weeks off work in April which significantly helped me to finish nine books, which amounted to a remarkable 3,421 pages. Just imagine how many books I could read in a year if I didn’t have to work.
I didn’t get much in the way of physical books this month, but somehow wound up with a handful of e-arcs. It doesn’t exactly help with reducing my TBR pile but they sounded too good to pass up.
Having stumbled upon their website not too long ago, I took a trip to Astley Book Farm in Warwickshire on Friday afternoon. It claims to be the largest second-hand bookshop in the Midlands and it was easy to see why.
I have to say given that it was my birthday in March I did fairly well and only acquired four books, meaning my goal to read more than what I accumulate each month is back in action.
I managed to read six books in March which was more than I was expecting due to the length of one of them (you may be able to guess which one from the header photo).
So that my blog isn’t completely dormant between my monthly haul and wrap up posts I thought I’d do some tags to bridge the gap. It’ll also give you more of an opportunity to get to know me if you’re interested in that kind of thing.
